Just a few hours ago we brought the Android 4.2 Keyboard app that features gesture typing, now Android 4.2 camera app and Android 4.2 gallery app both have been leaked too, the new camera app comes with a new interface, now you can access camera setting by swiping anywhere on the screen. On the other hand, the gallery app also comes with a new interface that is similar to Google Plus. However the camera app is still under development and you might face a few bugs like Photo Sphere isn’t working yet but developer who leaked the app said that he’ll fix this as soon as possible.

You may try these apps on just Android 4.1 custom ROMs such as CyanogenMod 10, AOKP or any other, don’t install on any stock ROM. Your device must be rooted with a file manager app installed.  Read on how to install Android 4.2 camera and gallery apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the Android 4.2 gallery and camera app apk (GalleryGoogle.apk) from here or here.

Step #2: Transfer the downloaded GalleryGoogle.apk to your Android device.

Step #3: Using any file manager app that contains root-access go to system/app folder.

Step #4: If the GalleryGoogle.apk file is already exist, rename it.

Step #5: Locate the GalleryGoogle.apk file that you transferred in step 2, then long press on the file, a menu will appear, select copy.

Step #6: Again go to system/app folder and paste the file.

Step #7: Now long pres on GalleryGoogle.apk file, select properties and then select Change button.

Step #8: In the change menu, make sure the read and write options are enabled for user, and only read option should be enabled for the Group and Other.

Step #9: Reboot your phone.
