A Comprehensive Introduction About Rooting for Android Devices
Google’s Android OS is a well-known operating system and it’s also running in lots of smartphones, devices and tablets, the main thing behind its fame is its extra ordinary performance, the latest version of Android OS is 4.0 and 4.0.3, they are also known as Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). There are many world famous companies who are using Android OS like, HTC, Motorola, Samsung, LG and many more; they are using this for its wonderful performance. Here I’d like to say that Google isn’t the inventor of Android they acquired it in 2005, people like to use the Android OS because of its amazing features.
Rooting is also a famous activity that we’ve done with the Android OS here I am going to present you a comprehensive Introduction about Rooting for Android Devices. Before I get started here I’d like to present you a definition of Root according to the Wikipedia:
“Rooting is a process allowing users of mobile phones, tablet PCs, and other devices running the Android operating system to attain privileged control (known as “root access”) within Android’s subsystem. Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user. Rooting is analogous to jailbreaking devices running the Apple iOS operating system or the Sony PlayStation 3. On Android, rooting can also facilitate the complete removal and replacement of the device’s operating system”.
In simple words we can say that Android Rooting Process allows you to cross the limitation, after the Rooting Process you can make your Android device more perfect and useful than it was before. In most easy to understand manners we can say that after the Rooting process you can easily install custom software (ROM’s), install custom themes, increase performance, increase battery life, and the ability to install software and apps that would otherwise cost extra money, same like that we do the process for Apple devices, like for iPhone 4S, The New iPad, iPod Touch, and we use the term Jailbreak at the place of Root. This article is just to introduce the Rooting because many Android users don’t know about this process, if a person is well aware about it he can do it without of any trouble and easiness.
