Next Nexus Device Will Come With Android 5.0 Jelly Bean, Set To Announce In Last Quarter Of 2012
Android is most popular open source mobile operating system, Google is planning to expand its Nexus program and to release the next version of its mobile operating system Android 5.0. According to report of Wall Street Journal the smartphone will come with Android 5.0 Jelly been, Google will sell the device directly to consumers in U.S., Europe and Asia through its website.
Google will work with five manufacturers to make a portfolio of next Nexus, hopefully the portfolio of the smartphone has been prepared for sale by Thanksgiving, Google is also planning to boost the sale of Android powered devices, if you take a glance at the current sale of Android deices, the sale is not bad.
The plan selling the device directly to the consumer is a challenge for Google, especially in USA, most of you and I too like to check the device in a store before you purchase. The next Nexus device is expected to be sold unlocked, which means Google will offer a wireless contract, an unlocked device can cost you $150 or $200 more than a contract phone and you’ll have to purchase the contract separately, it’s but long process.
According to Google wireless carriers are much beneficial, it stops the blocking of apps, the Verizon Wireless doesn’t allow you to use the the Google Wallet app on your Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus. According to history of carriers, sometime they slowly roll out the operating system on smartphones and tablets. By avoiding carriers Google will make the device market better in a few months.
Google is going to add a new revenue stream by selling devices directly to consumers. Google also got revenue through sales of digital contents of Google Play store. The direct sale to consumer through the Google Play store does does results in quicker launches in the world. It will also keep you away from the malwares. Google will announce the Android 5.0 Jelly Bean in this fall. What do you think? Comment below!
