Android 4.0.4 ICS AOSP ROM For AT&T Galaxy S2 “F1 GalaxyNexus”
When Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update will be released for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2? No, there’s no confirmation about the update. So what’s available now for the smartphone, a new custom ROM named F1 GalaxyNexus is available for AT&T Galaxy S2, yes the ROM is based on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich build number IMM761.
It’s completely AOSP (Android Open Source Project) ROM, the ROM come up with numerous tweaks and features, it includes all ICS apps and features and it has no bloatware, which means it also gives you extra storage space. The ROM features T9 dialer, notification toggles option, 180-degree rotation option and much more.
The ROM gives you fast and smooth performance, it brings complete Galaxy Nexus interface on your device, but it still in beta stage and has some bugs like TV out, NFC support, FM radio, and Wi-Fi direct option aren’t working currently. You may face volume issue when you receive a notification. But ignore these bugs if you want taste Galaxy Nexus UI on your Galaxy S2 and continue reading to install the ROM on your AT&T smartphone.
Before you start installation first make sure you’ve installed a custom recovery on your device like ClockworkMod and make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #2: Plug the device to PC, then transfer the downloaded files to internal SD card of device.
Step #3: Disconnect the device from PC and turn off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down the Volume Up + Volume Down + Power buttons until you see Samsung’s screen on device.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset, then confirm it on next screen then select Wipe Cache and confirm on the next screen.
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #8: Once again repeat the previous step to install Google Apps.
Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
