Android 4.0.4 ICS release for Galaxy Tab 7.7 Wi-Fi, Here’s Installation Guide
Those of you, who own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Wi-Fi model and waiting for Android 4.0.4 update, they would be happy to know that the wait is over, Samsung has rolled out the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 Wi-Fi-only. The update is currently available for just United Kingdom via KIES and if you can’t update your tablet via KIES, here’s a guide how to update Galaxy Tab 7.7 Wi-Fi P6810 to Android 4.0 XXLPK Firmware manually. Apply the update on just UK Galaxy Tab.
Before installation disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, and do note that USB drivers of your device should be installed on your computer, otherwise Odin will not detect your tablet.

Instructions
Step #1: Download Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich XXLPK firmware (P6810XXLPK_P6810OXALPK_XEU.zip ) and Odin 1.85 (Odin3-v1.85.zip).
Step #2: Unzip both .zip files into a folder.
Step #3: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above files and run Odin .exe file.
Step #4: Turn the device off.
Step #5: Reboot the device into download mode by holding down volume down and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave power button but not volume down until you see message for download mode, then leave volume down and press the volume up button to enter in download mode.
Step #6: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the tablet, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed).
Step #7: Click on PDA Button and locate P6810OXALPK_P6810XXLPK_HOME.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #8: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.
Step #9: That’s it, unplug the device from PC and enjoy!
