Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Based CM10 for Galaxy Ace [How-To]
It’s CyaogenMod 10 rain, now the CyanogenMod 10 is also out for the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 that based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, the ROM comes with number of new features, it will add a new keyboard, notification bar, camera app, Google Now app, and much more, thanks to senior XDA developer member Macław.
Since the CyanogenMod 10 is in beta stage, bugs can be expected currently like proximity and camera isn’t working currently, it might also has some other minor bugs, but the developers will iron out these bugs as soon as possible.
ClockworkMod recovery should be installed on your Galaxy Ace, be sure to follow our guide to install ClockworkMod. Make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA LINK].
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down home and power buttons (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #8: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
