When HTC Droid Incredible will get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean? Might be never, but custom ROMs solve your problems, an Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean based ROM has been released for the HTC Droid Incredible, thanks to XDA developer member Albinoman.

Install the ROM and taste latest Google’s mobile operating system, the ROM is pretty faster but do keep in mind that the ROM is still in development stages, the Camera and videos aren’t working currently.

Your device must be rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed, follow our this guide to do everything, device’s battery should be charged. Make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA LINK] and Google Apps from here.

Step #2: Transfer the downloaded files to SD card of device.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode, to do so, reboot phone by holding down volume down and power button, device will reboot into HBOOT, there use volume keys to navigate, use power button to select and then select recovery option.

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen. From the main menu, select Advanced, then select Wipe Dalvik Cache and confirm the action on the next screen.

Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.

Step #8: Repeat the last step and install Google Apps in the same manner.

Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
