Android 4.2 Apps Package For Galaxy Nexus Is Now Available For Download
Yesterday we brought the Nexus 4 system dump that runs Android 4.2 to you but if installation of apps one by one wastes your time, now you install the Android 4.2 apps package to get them, a senior XDA developer member tommrazek01 has just made it available for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (GSM variant), the package includes many Android 4.2 apps such as Camera with PhotoSphere, Gallery, Stopwatch/Clock, Nexus 4 Sounds, App Install (Phonesky.apk), Gmail, and Launcher With Wallpapers.
The below guide will walk you through how to install Android 4.2 Apps pack o n Galaxy Nexus. Make sure ClockworkMod recovery or TWRP recovery is installed on your Galaxy Nexus, you can follow our this guide to install ClockworkMod recovery.
Step #1: Download the Android 4.2 Apps package (4.2_TransformPack_v2.zip).
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded .zip file to your Galaxy Nexus phone.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume up, volume down and power buttons, you’ll enter in bootloader mode, there select recovery option to enter in recovery mode.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything goes wrong, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: From the main menu, Select “Install” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #7: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your phone.
