AOKP Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM For HTC Sensation [How-To]


Good news for the owners of HTC Sensation, now they can enjoy AOKP ROM too on their HTC Sensation, XDA member febycv released this ROM. It based on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and improve device performance and easy customizations, it supports homescreen launchers, however it still in beta so you can expect some bugs like Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi tether, automatic call drops, minor flickering, camcorder issues, and some other minor. Keep in mind it’s just for HTC Sensation.

If you’re interested follow below guide to install it, but keep in mind that your device must be rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed its battery should be charged, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure will wipe all data, you can use this app to backup.

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Instructions

Step #1: First download the latest version of the AOKP ROM and Google Apps  to PC.

Step #2: Connect the device to PC using USB cable and copy both files into root of device’s internal SD card.

Step #3: Disconnect the device from PC and turn it off.

Step #4: Reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery by simultaneously pressing and holding down the Volume Down button and Power Button.

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a Nandroid Backup of your current ROM. To make a backup, select “Backup and Restore” and on the screen that follows, select “Backup”.

Step #6: Perform a wipe by selecting “wipe data/ factory reset”, and on the screen that follows, select “yes” to confirm the wipe procedure.

Step #7: Now Select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Browse for the downloaded ROM file that you copied earlier and select it.  Confirm the installation by selecting “Yes” to start flashing the ROM.

Step #8: Once again repeat step 7, but this time around, choose the Google apps package.

Step #9: Select “go back”, then choose “reboot system now” to restart your phone. That’s it you’ve installed, please don’t forget to comment below/
