Bell Galaxy Note 3 gets Android 5.0 Lollipop software update
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users over Bell network in Canada are now reporting that Samsung has started rolling out the Android 5.0 update for the phablet. It is available with build number LRX21V.N900W8VLU2DOC4 which has March 13 as build date. In fact, according to a report Samsung is rolling out to Note 3 after updating GS5. Further, the carrier has confirmed that the same update will be available for the Note 4. We still do not have information about the release date of same update for other carriers of country.
In order to get the update, make sure you are using a proper Wi-Fi connection and then check for the software update in settings. There should be 944MB update for your device. Have you already received the Bell Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop update?
If OTA and KIES are not right options for you due to any reason, simply load it manually.
Use a Windows computer having phone USB drivers. Disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, and turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #1: Download the Android 5.0.2 OTA update for Galaxy Note from here:
Model: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Bell Mobile)
Version: Android 5.0
Step #2: Unzip the downloaded zip file into a folder.
Step #3: Download the Odin3 to your PC.
Step #4: Unzip the downloaded Odin zip into a folder too.
Step #5: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3.xx.exe.
Step #6: Turn the device off.
Step #7: Reboot the device into download mode. Reboot device by holding down volume down, home and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave these buttons and press the volume up button to enter intodownload mode.
Step #8: Click on PA Button and locate .tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #9: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again).
Step #10: If your device reboot into normal mode, you’re done, enjoy! But if you device gets stuck at boot screen, you need to perform wipe, to do so, turn off device, then reboot into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave power button but not volume down until you enter inrecovery mode. In recovery mode, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen. Once it’s done, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
That’s it, the Lollipop update is now installed on your Galaxy Note.
