CyanogenMod 10 available on Nexus 7 [How-To]
It’s raining CyanogeMod 10 (CM10) on Android devices that come with many customizable features, give completely stock Android experience and features amazing UI. It based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The CyanogenMod 10 also has been arrived for Google Nexus devices like Nexus 7, CM10 is first AOSP custom ROM for Nexus 7. The ROM is still in development stages, so you can expect some bugs but everything should work fine.
Take a look at below guide to install CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) on your ASUS tablet but first do note that ClockworkMod recovery must be installed on your Nexus 7, be sure to follow our this guide to install ClockworkMod recovery and create backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA LINk] as well as Google Apps.
Step #2: Place both .zip files under SD card.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded CM10 ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #8: Repeat last step to install Google Apps package.
Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
