Finally the CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) is porting to HTC devices, the HTC One S has received a CM10 build that based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the CM10 ROM is based on AOSP (Android Open Source Project), which means it will give you fully stock Android experience, thanks to senior XDA developer member djsubtronic.
The Jelly Bean has number of great features and apps but this ROM is still in progress, many things aren’t work currently, you can get access to root, SD card, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, you may also face bugs on phone/network, auto brightness and headphones. Hopefully the developer will fix all bugs soon in near future.
Read on how to install the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean CyanogenMod 10 on HTC One S. The Bootloader of your HTC One S must be unlocked, you can unlock bootloader official here or use all-one-toolkit to unlock bootloader. ClockworkMod recovery should be installed on your HTC One S, you can follow our this guide to install official ClockworkMod recovery, and be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA LINK] and Google Apps from here.
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to SD card of device.
Step #3: Download the fastboot package to PC.
Step #4: Unzip the fastboot.zip file to C:\, you’ll get a fastboot folder with four files, then unzip the ROM .zip file and get boot.img, then copy the boot.img file to fastboot folder. You have five files now in fastboot folder.
Step #5: Power off the phone.
Step #6: Reboot phone into bootloader mode by holding down volume down and power button, in bootloader mode select fastboot mode to enter into fastboot mode.
Step #7: In fastboot mode, plug the phone to PC with USB cable.
Step #8: Run command prompt on PC, enter following command to enter in fastboot folder:
Step #9: Enter following command, it will show the serial number, which devices is connected with PC properly:
Step #10: Enter following command to install boot.img:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Once the installation is done you’ll get finished/OKAY message.
Step #11: Unplug device from PC. Then on the phone select HBOOT, then in HBOOT, select recovery option to enter in recovery mode.
Step #12: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #13: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #14: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #15: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
