Download and Install Android 4.1.2 update for Galaxy Note 2 LTE – Guide

However the Galaxy Note 2 LTE Android 4.1.2 update is currently available just in Sweden and Samsung will push out the update in other regions soon in near future. But if you can’t wait or if you can’t update Galaxy Note LTE in Sweden due to any reason, download and install the Android 4.1.2 update for Galaxy Note 2 LTE manually, I mean do it yourself.
The below guide will walk you through how to install Android 4.1.2 XXDLL1 firmware for Galaxy Note 2 LTE. You need a Windows PC with USB drivers installed, try the Samsung KIES to install drivers but disable it before firmware installation. Back up everything because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, though the APN setting automatically restored from network, it make mobile date work, but if it doesn’t happen to you, restore it manually, you can use APN app to do so.

Step #1: Download the Android 4.1.2 N7105XXDLL1 firmware for your Galaxy Note 2 LTE from here.
Step #2: Download the Odin3_3.04.zip file to your PC.
Step #3: Unzip both zip files into a folder.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe file.
Step #5: Turn the device off and reboot the device into download mode, to do so reboot device by holding down volume down, home and power buttons, then press volume up button to enter in download mode.
Step #6: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #7: Click on PDA Button and locate N7105XXDLL1_N7105TLADLL1_N7105XXDLK7_HOME.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #8: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again).
Step #9: If your device reboot into normal mode, you’re done, enjoy! But if you device gets stuck at boot screen, you need to perform wipe, to do so, turn off device, then reboot into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons. In recovery mode, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen. Once it done, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
