Download and Install TWRP Recovery for HTC One X+ – Guide
The TeamWin has shown its love for the HTC One X+ by releasing the TWRP Recovery for the smartphone, TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) custom recovery is known for the unique interface and useful features. The TWRP Recovery isn’t limited just a few basic features such as ability to install zip files, perform backups and wipe. It offers some extra useful features that gives you a great experience such as impressive touch interface, a file manager app, theme support, onscreen keyboard to name and rename your backups, it takes and restore backups rapidly.
The below guide will walk you through how to install TWRP Recovery on HTC One X+ Plus. Bear in mind that your HTC One X+ bootloader must be unlocked, you can follow our this guide to unlock bootlader easily. Use a Windows PC with USB phone drivers installed, you can use HTC Sync to install drivers.

Method 1: Install TWRP via GooManager App:
Step #1: Download free Goo Manager app (Google Play store link) and install it on your HTC One X+.
Step #2: Launch the Goo Manager app.
Step #3: Tap on options and then select Install OpenRecovery Script and confirm the action when app ask, the app will download and install the TWRP recovery automatically.
Method 2: Install TWRP via Fastboot:
Step #1: Download the TWRP Recovery (openrecovery-twrp-126.96.36.199-enrc2b.img) and Fastboot Package (fastboot.zip) to your PC.
Step #2: Unzip the fastboot.zip file into C:\, it will generate fastboot folder containing four files.
Step #3: Rename the downloaded recovery_v.0.3.img into recovery.img and copy the file to fastboot folder you extracted in previous step.
Step #4: Turn your HTC One X+ off and reboot into fastboot mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down by holding down volume down and power buttons, when device enter in bootloader mode, there select fastboot mode by using volume and power buttons to enter in fastboot mode.
Step #5: Once you’re in fastboot mode, plug your phone to PC using a USB cable.
Step #6: Fire up command prompt, you can find command prompt at Star menu>programs>accessories.
Step #7: Enter following commands on command prompt, the second will generate the serial number of your phone, if it generate, your phone is connect to PC properly, otherwise make sure USB drivers are properly installed on the PC:
Step #8: Enter following command to install recovery.img:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-188.8.131.52-enrc2b.img
Step #9: Once the installation is done, enter following command to reboot phone:
Step #10: Unplug your phone from PC.
That’s it, you’re done, the TWRP recovery is now installed. Enjoy! To try the TWRP recovery, put phone in bootloader mode, there select recovery option to enter in recovery mode.
