Download Android 4.2.2 Radio for Galaxy Nexus (Verizon)
Recently Android 4.2.2 update released for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus LTE containing build number JDQ39, a XDA developer member mwalt2 has pulled the radio app from the update and dubbed it into a recovery flashable zip file for everyone. It’s CDMA radio and it should work coming from any radio as it includes the full radio.img.
Here’s a little guide to install Android 4.2 radio zip file but keep in mind that you have to try it at your own risk, we will not be held responsible for any damage. Make sure a custom recovery is installed on your Galaxy Nexus like ClockworkMod recovery and TWRP recovery.
Step #1: Download the Android 4.2 Radio zip file.
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to phone.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything goes wrong, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Select “Install” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #7: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
