EAGLESBLOOD Jelly Bean ROM for T-Mobile G2x [How-To]
The Jelly Bean is spreading like a fever, almost daily, another Android device gets the Jelly Bean Build that is now also available for the T-Mobile LG G2x, it’s EAGLESBLOOD custom ROM that based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but it’s pre-alpha build but can be used to taste Jelly Bean, thanks to senior XDA developer member cellsafemode.
EAGLESBLOOD is AOSP custom ROM and gives you fully stock Android experience but currently it’s in development, many things aren’t working, like audio, sleep mode, and some other minor bugs. The SIM card status isn’t correct, the date tends to cut off, you may also face issues in mobile data network, data is working but you might have to get the phone to hot-reboot, to do so, connect to non-encrypted network.
Read on how to install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on T-Mobile G2x, make sure that ClockworkMod recovery is installed on your device, don’t use any other recovery, be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM and Google Apps from here [official site link].
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded files to SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen. Lastly select “Advanced > Wipe Dalvik cache”.
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #8: Repeat the step 7 and install Google Apps in the same manner.
Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
