Easily Root ICS and Gingerbread on Motorola Droid Razr XT912 Using CASUAL Root Tool
Rooting allows you to customize your Android device, after rooting the device you’ll be able to install custom ROM, non-market apps, and much more. If you’ve installed any leaked ICS ROM on your Motorola Droid Razr or running Gingerbread and now want to root the device, here’s guide for you to root your Motorola Droid Razr XT912 using Casual (Cross-platform ADB Scripting Universal Android Loader) Root Tool, it’s one click root tool.
The rooting tool is still in beta stage, which means it may has some bugs but has been tested. Please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can use file expert app to backup for apps, and sync contacts with Gmail. USB drivers and latest version of Java should be installed on your computer, if you don’t have them, download Java from here and drivers from here. Keep in mind that this tool is just for Motorola Droid Razr model number XT912, you can check the device from Setting>About Phone. Turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #1: Download CASUL Root tool to computer.
Step #2: Plug the phone to computer using USB cable.
Step #3: Run CAUSAL -PublicBeta4.jar and to root Gingerbread ROM, select “Root with Motofail Exploit” option from the CASUAL tool window drop-down box, and confirm rooting. For Ice Cream Sandwich ROM, select “Root with RootICSRAZR” from the drop-down box and confirm rooting.
After rooting process, unplug the device from PC, that’s it you’re done. Enjoy!
