Easy SIM Unlock on Rooted HTC One S [How-To]
Rooting is only thing that enables you to unlock your Android device, if you have rooted device, you can easily unlock SIM on the device and use the SIM card from any carrier, if you own a HTC One S and want to unlock SIM, you just need root the device use the phone’s IMEI number to calculate the encryption key, then take the number from the UN_Lock_clode and get the SIM unlock code, thanks to XDA developer ascot17.

Instructions
Step #1: Once you’ve rooted your HTC One S, download the Bash Script.
Step #2: Unzip the download zip file to the /system/ folder on HTC One S, you’ll get there unlock.sh.
Step #3: Now execute the .sh file directly from root explorer, you can also use the terminal emulator, just open the terminal and run:
su <enter>
/system/unlock.sh <enter>
You’ll get SIM unlock code, write down the code and also saved the code to the /sdcard/sim_unlock_code.txt.
Step #4: Turn the device off and pull out the SIM card from your phone.
Step #5: Now insert the another SIM card from any other service.
Step #6: Turn the device on.
Step #7: When the device ask SIM code, enter the code and enjoy.
