Fix Issue: People Not Getting Picture Messages from Your Android Device [How-To]
Sometime you send your picture using your iPhone to any friend but it doesn’t deliver on your friend, might be the another device is reason, if your friend’s iPhone on AT&T has a size limit of 300kb but you send 600k picture, they may just not get it like. Android doesn’t natively have method to change the size of converted images for MMS, but you can some third party apps to fix this issue. See below method.
Step #1: Open Android Market on your device and find, Handcent SMS,
Step #2: Download and install it on your device.
Step #3: Now, to save you some headache, open normal messaging app.
Step #4: Click Menu then Settings and scroll down to Notifications and uncheck it, you won’t get two notification but one from Handcent and one from the normal SMS app.
Step #5: You should adjust your MMS setting, so In the Handcent app click Menu then Settings > Send Message Settings
Step #6: Scroll down to Maximum MMS Size and select it.
Step #7: This part will take some trial and error depending on what device and carrier you are sending pictures to. Either way you’re going to change the settings here down to a lower setting. iPhones will definitely work at 300kbs but you can try higher or lower depending on what works for you when you try to send it.
That’s it, now using the Handcent app, try to send a picture to your friend and see if they get it this time, if not, lower the setting and try again till it does.
