Get Jelly Bean features on Xpeira Arc & Arc S via Xperia Remix ROM
Almost every Android user trying to get Jelly Bean goodies, and those of you own a Sony Xperia Arc or Arc S can now enjoy many Jelly Bean features and apps, a senior XDA developer jader13254 has released a new custom ROM for the Xperia Arc and Arc S named “Xperia ICS & Jelly Bean Remix” that is packed with a lot of Jelly Bean apps and features, however it based on stock Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Read on how to install Xperia ICS & Jelly Bean ROM on Xperia Arc and Arc S, the bootloader of your phone must be unlocked, you can unlock bootloader here officially and ADB should be installed on your PC, you can follow our this guide to install ADB. Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of Xperia ICS and Jelly Bean ROM from here [XDA Link].
Step #2: To get Wi-Fi working, download Wi-Fi modules file (ArcKnight_RC3.5.1_Test_Version_Modules.zip).
Step #3: Copy both downloaded .zip file to the SD card of your Xperia Arc or Arc S what you own.
Step #4: Download the required kernel ArcKnight_RC3.5.1_ST.img to your PC.
Step #5: Download the fastboot package (Fastboot.zip) to your PC.
Step #6: Unzip the downloaded fastboo.zip file into C:\, you’ll get fastboot folder, then copy the downloaded ArcKnight_RC3.5.1_ST.img file to the Fastboot folder.
Step #7: Plug the USB cable to phone but not to PC, then on your phone, hold down the menu key while plugging the phone to PC, it will plug phone to PC in fastboot mode.
Step #8: Run command prompt on PC that can be found from Start menu>All Programs>Accessories.
Step #9: Enter following command on command prompt, it will take you to fastboot folder:
cd c:\Fastboot
Step #10: Enter following command prompt to install kernel .img:
fastboot flash boot ArcKnight_RC3.5.1_ST.img
If you get a message saying “waiting for device”, then enter another command to install kernel:
fastboot -i 0x0fce flash boot ArcKnight_RC3.5.1_ST.img
Once the kernel is installed on your phone, you’ll get a message saying “finished”/OKAY.
Step #11: Unplug the phone from PC.
Step #12: Turn off your phone, the screen will turn on and you’ll see kernel logo, when LED lights show up, start pressing the Back button until you enter into recovery (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and home button to select).
Step #13: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation, within a few seconds, an installer will appear, then make the necessary changes and keep clicking Next till the ROM installation finishes, after installation, make sure to untick the Reboot device option, and click Finish.
Step #14: Once the installation is done, once again select choose zip from sdcard, and locate the ArcKnight_RC3.5.1_Test_Version_Modules.zip file that you copied in step 3.
Step #15: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
