Grab Jelly Bean AOKP on HTC One X via IceColdJelly Custom ROM
Another Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based custom ROM for the HTC One X, the IceColdJelly, the ROM is built from AOKP, it has many new customizable features and as most you know well that Jell Bean also comes with number of new features and apps such as Google Now, ability to receive SMS, Email and calls directly from the notification bar, improved keyboard and much more. The ROM brings a faster performance to your phone, thanks to recognized XDA developer member LorD ClockaN.
Since the AOKP is currently in development, you may face bugs, Wi-Fi direct, and FM isn’t working, you may face issues in call volume adjustment, the HMHL output is rotated incorrectly to portrait in horizontal mode.
Read on how to install IceColdJelly on your HTC One X, make sure that ClockworkMod recovery must be installed on your device, you can follow this guide to install and device’s booloader should be unlocked too. You can use this toolkit to unlock bootloader and install ClockworkMod recovery too. Make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup to back apps, and USB drivers should be installed on PC, you can use HTC sync to install USB drivers but during installation HTC Sync should not be running.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of IceColdJelly Custom ROM from here and Google apps from here.
Step #2: Place both zip files to the SD card of your HTC One X.
Step #3: Download fastboot package. This is required.
Step #4: Now extract the fastboot package to C:\ on computer, you’ll get fastboot folder with four files.
Step #5: Also unzip ROM file, you’ll get boot img transfer it into fastboot folder. Now you have five files in fastboot folder.
Step #6: Turn the device off.
Step #7: Reboot into bootloader mode by pressing and holding down Volume down and power button, there use volume keys to navigate and power to select, and select fastboot mode.
Step #8: Once you’re in fastboot mode plug the device to PC using USB cable, navigate to the fastboot folder and run flash-boot-windows.bat file, it will install kernel, once it done, the command prompt will close itself or show OKAY/finished.
Step #9: Disconnect phone from the computer and select HBOOT, there you need to enter in recovery mode, to do so simply select RECOVERY option.
Step #10: Make nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, it will lets you to go back, just select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #11: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation, once the installation is done, also install Google Apps package in the same manner.
Step #12: That’s it, now reboot phone and enjoy, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.” It will reboot the phone.
