Grab Jelly Bean Font on Any ICS Android Device
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean comes with numerous useful features and apps, it also comes with an awesome font Roboto that can be installed on any Android device running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or above. The font is already included in the Ice Cream Sandwich but Google made the font bit more stunning in Jelly Bean.
Thanks to XDA developer member LiquidSolstice who ported the font to other ICS devices, the developer released a .zip file that can be install via ClockworkMod recovery. So if you own a Ice Cream Sandwich Android device and have installed the CWM recovery, must try this font.
You can download the Jelly Bean font from here, put the file to the SD card of your device, turn the device off and put it into recovery mode by pressing and holding down a specific combination of keys, you have to different keys on every device to reboot device into recovery mode. Once you’re in recovery mode, simply select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred and confirm installation to start installation on the phone. Once the installation is done, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your device.
However if anyone don’t like the new font after installation, he/she should be not be worried about because the developer provided both fonts, Jelly Bean font and Ice Cream Sandwich font, so simple download and install Ice Cream Sandwich font again on your device, you can download the Ice Cream Sandwich font .zip file from here and install this file using the above method, put device in CWM recovery and install.
