Half-Illusion custom ROM for Galaxy Note, Based on Jelly Bean
Another Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean based custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000, Half-Illusion, the developer built the custom ROM from CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) and also features all AOKP’s customizable features, thanks to senior XDA developer member toxicthunder. The ROM brings a smooth and performance to your device. However it’s still in beta stage, it’s just a preview build of Jelly Bean, so it may has number of bugs, the ROM isn’t fully stable currently.
Follow below guide to install Half-Illusion custom ROM on your Galaxy Note N7000. Your device must be on CM9 or CM10 custom ROM, you can follow this guide to install CM9 or follow this guide to install CM10 ROM. ClockworkMod recovery must be installed on your Galaxy Note, make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete. After that, also install Google Apps .zip file in the same manner.
Step #8: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
That’s it, enjoy! To go back, simply put your Galaxy Note in recovery mode and restore the backup you’ve taken. The ROM features onscreen virtual navigation buttons. If you want to remove them, download navigation bar buttons removal package, place it on SD card, put the device in recovery mode, in recovery mode, select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the buttons package and confirm installation.
