I read about all the ways to root the droid 3. Great but no-where do i find out what i will gain by doing this. I admit the hardware aspect on the 3 is excellent, the Verizon modified operating system sucks. I would like to be able to use Skype (the real one) over wifi. Even in a 3g zone no communication programs work as the maker intended on a Droid 3. If I download the app from the market, There isnt the ability to have 2 way video, nor is there a toggle to put the camera to the front one. Very frustrating. However if i cant get the phone to work properly why root or do anything to change the phone? Everybody talks about how but no-one says what we will really gain.
