Samsung has just released XXBLG6 firmware that based on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and available at United Kingdom. But now another firmware is rolling out for Galaxy S3 GT-I9300, XXBLG8 that brings the search feature back, you can update your Galaxy S3 with OTA update, just go to Setting and check for OTA notification. If you haven’t received the notification, you can also install the firmware on any Galaxy S3 manually.

USB drivers must be installed on your computer. Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.
