The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is finally receiving the long-awaited Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update officially, the petty 3G tablet is being updated through OTA (over the air) and Samsung KIES carrying the firmware P6800DXMD3, the update is available just in Asia at this time but worry not as Samsung will hopefully push it to other countries soon in near future.
However if you can’t wait or if you can’t update tablet using KIES or OTA notification, simply download and install it manually using Odin that we’re discussing here. Keep in mind that this update is well-matched with just Galaxy Tab 7.7 having model number P6800.
This guide shows you how to install Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Tab 7.7 3G manually (official OTA P6800DXMD3 firmware). Use a Windows PC and ensure drivers are installed, you can use KIES to install drivers. Don’t forget to create backup because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use the carbon Android app to backup apps and data.
