How To Install Android 4.3 CyanogenMod 10.2 for HTC One


The HTC One (M7) can be on all places where you can look for best smartphones of world today by the virtue of fast performance, healthy body and remarkable features, HTC has changed radically with this latest smaryphone and now they can take it to compete with all of high-end phones of year.

HTC One does enjoy many of best features but if you are still hungry, worry not as Android development community still improves user experience with custom ROMs and here you can come up with popular CyanogenMod 10.1 that based on latest stock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean bringing all of latest Android features along with many custom tweaks, thanks to elite recognized XDA developer codeworkx.

It’s worthy to note that it is unofficial build of Android 4.3 based CyanogenMod 10.2, so you can expect a few bugs, however it’s ready to experience the latest trends of Android. Read on how to install Android 4.3 CyanogenMod 10.2.

Requirements

  • Keep in mind that your HTC One must have unlocked bootloader, check this guide to unlock bootloader.
  • Make sure a custom recovery is installed on your HTC One, check this guide to install ClockworkMod recovery or this guide to install TWRP recovery.
  • Backup everything because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use the carbon Android app to backup apps and data.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest build of CyanogenMod 10.2 for HTC One from here [XDA Link] and Google Apps package from here.

Step #2: Copy both zip files to your HTC One.

Step #3: Turn off the phone.

Step #4: Reboot phone by holding down volume down and power buttons to enter in bootloader mode and there select recovery to open up recovery mode.

Step #5: Install CM10.2 zip file on your phone.

Step #6: Install Google Apps package on your phone.

Step #7: DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET.

Step #8: Reboot your HTC One.

That’s it, the CyanogenMod 10.2 is now installed on your HTC One. Do not use Titanium Backup to restore anything. If you encounter any issue, you can leave a comment.
