There are many reasons to flash ClockworkMod recovery on Galaxy Note 8.0 like you can use it to install zip files containing custom ROMs, MODs, etc as well as CWM allows you to perform backups and wipe. This guide shows you how to install ClockworkMod recovery for Galaxy Note 8.0, it’s well-matched with both, Galaxy Note with model number and N5100 and model number N5110.
It’s worthy to notice that the recovery is still in experimental stages, however works perfectly now, so you can give it a try to open the door for custom ROMs.
Make sure you’re using a Windows PC and USB drivers are installed on PC, you can use Samsung KIES to install drivers but disable KIES before installation as it may disturb.

Step #1: Download the ClockworkMod recovery for Galaxy Note 8.0 depending on model number:

Step #2: Download Odin3 v3.04 to your PC.
Step #3: Unzip the downloaded zip file to generate Odin3 v3.04.exe.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.
Step #5: Turn the device off.
Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode, to do this, reboot your Galaxy Note 8.0 by holding down volume down, home and power buttons.
Step #7: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #8: Click on PDA Button and locate .tar file that you downloaded in first step (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #9: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then reboot into download mode again. Then install the file again).
Step #10: Unplug your Note 8.0 from PC.
