How To Install ClockworkMod recovery for AT&T HTC One
The HTC One is very gorgeous smartphone, it enjoys top of the range build quality, HTC used metal material for smartphone, the design is not enough to come up in market, so HTC has packed the phone with high-end specifications and features as it gives you an UltraPixel camera, BoomSound, BlinkFeed and more.
So the HTC One is well-liked smartphone around the world, Android development community will surely bump up a lot of custom ROMs for smartphone but when you talk about any custom ROM, you need to get a custom recovery first and the ClockworkMod recovery has always been popular until now.
The official ClockworkMod recovery 6.0 has been landed to AT&T HTC One, thanks to recognized XDA developer Flyhalf205. If we take a bird’s eye view of CWM recovery briefly, it can be used to install zip files containing custom ROMs, custom MODs, custom tweaks and more, you can perform nandroid backups and wipe easily.
If you’re rooted user, simply download and install the ROM Manager app to install it otherwise the below shows you how to install ClockworkMod recovery for AT&T HTC One. You need a Windows PC with USB drivers installed, you can use HTC Sync to install drivers. Bear in mind that your phone’s bootloader must be unlocked, you can check this guide to unlock bootloader.

Step #1: Download the Fastboot package to your PC.
Step #2: Unzip the downloaded fastboot.zip file into C drive.
Step #3: Download the ClockworkMod recovery for AT&T HTC One from here.
Step #4: Copy the downloaded recovery-clockwork-touch-184.108.40.206-m7.img file to fastboot folder that you have unzipped in C drive earlier.
Step #5: Turn off your HTC One.
Step #6: Reboot your HTC One in fastboot mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down and power buttons until you enter in bootloader mode, in bootloader menus use volume keys to highlight and power button to select the fastboot mode.
Step #7: Once you’re in fastboot mode, plug phone to PC using a USB cable.
Step #8: Open up command prompt, you can get it under start menu>programs>accessories.
Step #9: Issue the following command on command prompt, it will take you to fastboot folder:
Step #10: Issue another following command, it will shows you the serial number of your HTC One, if it doesn’t show that, your phone is not connected with PC properly, ensure that phone drivers are installed on PC properly:
Step #11: Enter another following command to install recovery now (replace the “name” with file name you downloaded in step 3:
fastboot flash recovery “name”.img
Step #12: Once the installation is done, enter following command to reboot phone;
Step #13: Unplug phone from PC.
