How to install CODIS ROM for Droid DNA
The Verizon Droid DNA comes with magnificent specs and features but can you stop at stock features? Of course not and this is the reason, custom ROMs are famous for. A senior XDA developer member chingy51o has released CODIS custom ROM for your HTC Droid DNA that is packed with a decent bunch of features such as HTC Sense 4+, handy tweaks, Aroma Installer (to customize installation), advanced Power Menu Reboot Options, Screenshot & Volume Controls, Beats Audio, Hidden GPS Reticle, Hidden Persistent Wifi Notification, Google Apps, so many Alarms, Volume Wake, Disabled MMS Compression, landscape Sense, both Sense and AOSP Lockscreens and more.
The CODIS is pre-rooted custom ROM and includes Odexed, the custom ROM is based on the 1.15.605.4 RUU Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. The custom ROM is still under development but there’s no major bug, so be sure to give CODIS ROM a try.
Read on how to install CODIS custom ROM for HTC Droid DNA, keep in mind that your Droid DNA must have an unlocked bootloader with a custom recovery installed such as TWRP and ClockworkMod, use this guide to unlock bootloader. Use a Windows PC with Android ADB and USB drivers installed. make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps. Turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #2: First copy the boot.img file from the ROM zip file and then copy the zip file to your SD card.
Step #3: Don’t turn off the smartphone and plug it to PC using a USB cable.
Step #4: Open up command prompt on PC.
Step #5: Enter following command on the command prompt, it generates the serial number of your smartphone, which means the phone is connected with PC properly:
Step #6: Enter following command to reboot phone into bootloader mode:
adb reboot bootloader
Step #7: Now on bootloader menu, select and enter in fastboot mode, you can use volume keys to navigate and volume keys to enter in any mode.
Step #8: Once again enter following command using the command prompt to install boot.img but first navigate to the folder where boot.img file is located on command prompt:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Step #9: Once the installation is done, on your phone, go back to bootloader mode, there select and enter in recovery mode.
Step #10: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again” or if you’re on TWRP, select “backup” and confirm the action.
Step #11: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen. In the end, select Back > Dalvik Cache and confirm action.
Step #12: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.
Step #13: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. The AROMA installer will also appear for installation customization.
Step #14: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot the phone.
