How To Install CyanogenMod 10.1 for Oppo Find 5


The Oppo Find 5 is now receiving the attention of developers as the official CyanogenMod 10.1 is now available for the Oppo Find 5, thanks to recognized XDA developer XpLoDWilD.

The CyanogenMod 10.1 is AOSP custom ROM based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, so it will give you a fully stock Android experience but it offers customization to personalize the interface depending on your choice and includes many useful tweaks such as Apollo music player app, file manager app, T9 dialer and more. However since it’s a custom ROM, it may contain a few bugs.

This guide shows you how to install CyanogenMod 10.1 for Oppo Find 5. Ensure that the ClockworkMod recovery is installed on your Oppo Find 5, check this guide to install ClockworkMod recovery  and be sure to backup everything because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use the carbon Android app to backup apps and data.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the CyanogenMod 10.1 and Google Apps package for Oppo Find 5.

Step #2: Transfer both downloaded zip files to SD card of device.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode, to put phone in recovery mode, reboot phone by holding down volume down and power buttons.

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #6: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.

Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Once the custom ROM zip file is installed, install Google Apps zip file in same manner.

Step #8: Perform wipe, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.

Step #9: Select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
