How To Install CyanogenMod 10 for Motorola Razr M – Guide


The CynaogenMod 10 is one of most popular AOSP custom ROM that you can find around world, the CyanogenMod has packed the ROM with awesome customizable features that allow you to customize a lot of aspects of the interface according to your choice while offering useful apps such as file manager,  Apollo music player, etc with less bloatware. The CynaogenMod gives you a fully stock Android experience, thanks to recognized XDA developer antp121 for sharing CyanogenMod 10 for Motorola Droid RAZR M.

Keep in mind that the CM10 for Droid RAZR M is currently in early stages, so there may be a few bugs, however it’s ready to use and it’s quite stable.

This guide shows you how to install CyanogenMod 10 for Droid RAZR M. Make sure your RAZR M is rooted with Safestrap recovery installed, you can follow our this guide to root the phone and this guide to install Safestrap.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest version of Cyanogenmod 10 for Droid RAZR M from here [XDA Link] and Google Apps package from here.

Step #2: Copy both zip files to the root of your phone’s internal storage.

Step #3: Turn your RAZR M off.

Step #4: Reboot the phone, when Motorola splash screen appear, you’ll see the Safestrap logo that should show the Safestrap Disabled in red, Recovery at the bottom left, and Continue at right, select recovery option to enter in recovery mode.

Step #5: Tap on Backup and then slide the button to confirm the action, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state.

Step #6: Now you need to set up a ROM slot, to do so press the boot options, then tap on ROM-Slot-1, then set the data partition to a minimum of 1GB, it can be enough, let it finish.

Step #7: Go to back to main recovery menu, there select “install” and locate the ROM zip file and then slide the button to confirm the installation action.

Step #8: Once the ROM zip file is installed, once again repeat the previous step and install the Google Apps package.

Step #9: Now reboot the phone, to do so select “reboot system now” to reboot the phone.

That’s it, you’re done, after Motorola splash screen, you’ll Safestrap screen but now it’ll read Safestrap Enabled in green. After a few seconds, your phone will reboot into CyanogenMod 10 itself. Enjoy! You can visit the original thread of XDA link is given in the first step.
