How To Install Maddoggin ROM For Nexus 4 E960
The Nexus 4 already drives the Android 4.2 but people don’t like to stop just on stock Android and try some tweaks, MODs and custom ROMs to create a better environment to make fun with the smartphone and here’s Maddoggin for Nexus 4 that you should try whether you’re expert or newbi, thanks to recognized XDA themer maddoggin.
The Maddoggin custom ROM for Nexus 4 is still Android 4.2.1 AOSP ROM but offers some more hnady features such as extended power menu, CM-power widgets, quicksettings, longpress kill app, T-mobile Theme Manager, volume wake, advanced (gnexusparts) color changer, performance settings and so many other MODs.
The below guide walks you through how to Maddoggin ROM for Nexus 4 E960. Step #1: Download the Maddoggin ROM for Google Nexus 4 from here.
Step #2: Place the zip file to your Nexus 4.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down and power buttons to enter in bootloader mode, there use volume keys to navigate and power button to select. Highlight the recovery option and enter in recovery mode with power button.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again. If you’re on TWRP recovery, select “backup” and confirm the action.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen. In the end return to main menu, there select “advance”, then select wipe Dalvik Cache and confirm the action.
Step #7: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.
Step #8: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. If you’re on TWRP recovery, select “install” and locate the ROM zip file.
Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot the smartphone.
