How To Install TWRP Recovery 2.5 for Galaxy Note N5100/N5110

It seems that Samsung love to cover all portions of market as they did a great job with latest possible 8-inch tablet known as Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, following the Note series, it does offer the S-Pen too that makes you tasks easier because using the tablet with the S Pen feels very good. If you’re looking for a custom recovery to improve the usability of your Note 8.0 with custom ROMs, you’ve landed on a very good place, here you can get the popular TWRP (TeamWin Recovery Project), thanks to senior XDA developer emwno.
As for we have TWRP Recovery version 2.5 for Galaxy Note 8.0 and it’s well matched with both modes, N5100 and N5110. TWRP recovery packs many good features that you can’t find in other recoveries, it’s not limited just installation of custom ROMs and backups and wipe, it also includes a file manager app, onscreen keyboard to name and rename backups, theme engine to make fun with themes, and more.
It’s worthy to remember that this TWRP version for Galaxy Note 8.0 is still in experimental stages (as on 18-05-2013), however it’s reported to work, so you can give it a try.
This guide shows you how to install TWRP Recovery for Galaxy Note 8.0 GT-N5100 as well as GT-N5110. Use a Windows PC and ensure device drivers are installed, you can use Samsung KIES to install drivers but disable KIES before installation as it can disturb you.

Step #1: Download the TWRP recovery for Galaxy Note 8.0 depending on model number:

Step #2: Download Odin3 v3.04 to your PC.
Step #3: Unzip the downloaded zip file to generate Odin3 v3.04.exe.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.
Step #5: Turn the device off.
Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode, to do this, reboot your Galaxy Note 8.0 by holding down volume down, home and power buttons.
Step #7: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #8: Click on PDA Button and locate .tar file that you downloaded in first step (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #9: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then reboot into download mode again. Then install the file again).
Step #10: Unplug your Note 8.0 from PC.
You’re done, your Galaxy Note 8.0 have now TWRP recovery installed, to experience the recovery, turn off device and reboot by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.
