How To Install TWRP Recovery for T-Mobile HTC One


The TWRP Recovery (TeamWin Recovery Project) is known for a bit different and handy interface, it’s fully touch-based custom recovery to update your Android device with custom ROMs, tweaks, kernels, etc as well as you can perform backups and wipe even it does offer some more features to support your life such as a inbuilt keyboard to name and rename backups, file manager app, theme engine and more. Here you can try the TWRP Recovery on your T-Mobile HTC One, thanks to a recognized XDA contributor Flyhalf205.

This guide shows you how to install TWRP recovery for T-Mobile HTC One, ensure that the bootloader of your phone is unlocked, you can check this T-Mobile HTC One bootloader unlock guide. You need a Windows PC with phone driver installed, you can use HTC Sync software to install drivers.

Instructions

Step #1: Open power options and uncheck fastboot.

Step #2: Turn your phone completely off.

Step #3: Reboot phone in bootloader mode, to do this, reboot your smartphone by holding down volume down and power buttons, once you’re in bootloader mode, use volume keys to navigate and power buttons to enter, you need to enter in fastboot mode.

Step #4: Download TWRP recovery for T-Mobile HTC One from here.

Step #5: Download Fastboot package from here.

Step #6: Unzip the fastboot zip file to generate fastboot folder, then copy the download .img file of recovery to fastboot folder and then copy the fastboot folder to C drive.

Step #7: Plug phone to PC using the USB cable.

Step #8: Open up command prompt that you can find under start menu>programs>accessories.

Step #9: Enter following command on command prompt, it will navigate you to fastboot folder:

C:\fastboot

Step #10: Issue following command to start installation:

fastboot flash recovery “name”.img

Step #11: Once the installation is completed, issue following command to reboot phone.

fastboot reboot

Step #12: Unplug your HTC One from PC.

That’s it, the TWRP recovery is now installed on your T-Mobile HTC One, to put phone in recovery mode, turn off phone, then reboot it by holding down volume down and power buttons to enter in bootloader mode, there highlight and select enter in recovery option.
