How to install XperimenT ROM for Xperia T LT30p


The Xperia T is one of pretty stylish smartphone that even can be proved a masterpiece if you have some impressive tweaks on it, and it’s possible with custom ROMs. The XperimenT ROM custom ROM for Xperia T includes a lot of handy tweaks to taste, thanks to senior XDA developer member TiMiN8R.

The XperimenT is rooted and includes Chainfire’s SuperSU & BusyBox app, the developer has removed many bloatware and added some handy tweaks as I said above, the custom ROM includes both stock launcher and Modified Xperia Launcher by ra3al, there are 14 status bar toggles, the onscreen buttons size is bit reduced, the custom ROM includes stylish themes too to generate a better look and feel, it also features 4.1.2 Offical Xperia T Sony Keyboard, Xperia Z Wallpapers and bootanimation from 4.1.2 leak.

Read on how to install XperimenT custom ROM for Xperia T LT30p. Make sure your Xperia T is rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed, you can follow our this guide to root the phone and this guide to install ClockworkMod recovery. Use Windows PC with USB drivers installed and enable USB dubbing mode, go to Setting>Developer Options to do so. Backup everything because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps. In the end make sure device battery is up to 70%.

Instructions

Step #1: First you need to update your smartphone to 7.0.A.1.303 firmware, so download Flash Tool from here, here Mirror, here (Mirror 2) or here (Mirror 3).

Step #2: Download the Stock 7.0.A.1.303 firmware of your choice:

Step #3: Download .223 Stock Kernel (LT30p_7.0.A.3.223_CE_kernel.ftf) to your PC.

Step #4: Install the flash tool using flashtool-0.9.10.1-windows.exe that you downloaded in first step. You need to select the full install option and ensure latest updates.

Step #5: Locate the 303.ftf file of your choice.

Step #6: Follow onscreen instructions.

Step #7: When you see enter flashmode, turn off phone and reboot into download mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down while plugging the phone to PC using the USB cable.

Step #8: Follow onscreen instructions in flashtool to install the firmware.

Step #9: Once the firmware is installed, download the XperimenT ROM for locked bootloader from here and unlocked bootloader from here. You also need to download XperimenT Add-ons (XperimenT_1.51_addon.zip).

Step #10: Copy both downloaded zip files to your phone’s SD card.

Step #11: Turn your phone off and reboot into recovery mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down and power buttons.

Step #12: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #13: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen. In the end, go to main menu, select “advanced” and wipe Dalvik cache.

Step #14: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.

Step #15: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.

Step #16: Repeat previous step and install add-ons zip file in same manners.

Step #17: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.

Step #18: Now on your PC, open up flash tool.

Step #19: Browse LT30p_7.0.A.3.223_CE_kernel.ftf file and follow on screen instructions. into the open Flashtool window and follow the instructions.

Step #20: When flashmode ask to enter, turn off phone and reboot into download mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down while plugging the phone to PC using the USB cable.

Step #21: Follow onscreen instructions to finish.
