How To Root AT&T Galaxy Note – Guide
For AT&T Galaxy Note 2 users, we’ve got good news, now they can easily root AT&T Galaxy Note. It will give them full control over their device and will make them able to customize their phone. Thanks to senior XDA developer member turilo for this great effort. He found an easy way and provided us AT&T Galaxy Note 2 root guide.
This guide tells you how to root AT&T Galaxy Note 2, it’s important to note that it will increase the flash counter, however it can be used reset using Triangle Away app developed by a senior XDA developer member Chainfire.
Before you root your AT&T Galaxy Note 2, first make sure you’re using a Windows computer, USB drivers for your phone also should be installed on it, you can download 32 bit (x86) Windows drivers from here and 64-bit (x64) Windows drivers from here.

Step #1: Download Rooting Package for AT&T Galaxy Note 2 from XDA (CWM-SuperSU-v0.97.zip).
Step #2: Copy the downloaded Rooting package .zip file to internal storage of your device.
Step #4: Unzip Odin3_v3.04.zip into a folder.
Step #5: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin.
Step #6: Turn the device off.
Step #7: Reboot the device into download mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down, home and power buttons until screen turns on, then press volume up button and it will take you to download mode.
Step #8: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will change the color, and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #9: Click on PDA Button and locate cwm6-recovery-i317.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #10: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.
Step #11: Unplug phone from PC.
Step #12: Turn off your phone.
Step #13: Reboot phone into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.
Step #14: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded CWM-SuperSU-v0.97.zip file that you’ve transferred in above step 2 and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #15: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
