How To Root AT&T One X on 2.20 firmware version
Not a while AT&T rolls out an OTA update to AT&T One X containing firmware version 2.20 but as most of you know well that OTA updates void root access, however the new AT&T One X 2.20 firmware version can now be rooted easily, thanks to XDA developer member djrbliss. The developer made a tool that unlock the bootloader of phone officially and root the phone.
So those of you have upgraded phones with new OTA update and now want to root it, follow the below guide to learn how 2.20 firmware can be rooted on AT&T One X. Make sure latest USB drivers for One X are installed on your computer and on your phone turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #1: Download the Root Exploit to your computer.
Step #2: Unzip the downloaded .zip file into a folder.
Step #3: Plug your phone to computer using USB cable.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped the Rooting Exploit and run “run.bat”.
Step #5: Follow onscreen instructions, if it will be successful, you’ll get message “[+] Set CID!” but if not, you’ll not see it, so don’t continue.
Step #6: Your phone will automatically reboot into bootloader mode. There press enter and the exploit will provide your CID. If the exploit was successful, it should return “11111111″ as your CID.
Step #7: If you’ve successfully got exploit, press enter and it will give you unlock token.
Step #8: Go to htcdev.com, go to “Bootloader unlock” section and select “all other supported models” from the drop-down menu. Then give the token you’ve got in previous step.
Once the bootloader is unlocked, install recovery via fastboot and there install an update.zip to install Superuser and su. Be sure to visit the original thread of XDA here to thanks the developer.
