How To Root Bell Nitro HD On V20E Android 4.0 ICS Firmware
Recently Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich based V20E firmware rolled out for the Bell Nitro HD and those of you have upgraded their smartphone with this Android 4.0 ICS firmware and now want to root the device, here’s what you want, a root exploit is now available for the smartphone, rooting will allow you to install root-required apps and completely customize your smartphone but do keep in mind that it will also void the warranty of your phone.
Read on how to root Bell Nitro HD running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich V20E firmware, please note that USB drivers should be installed on your phone, if you haven’t installed drivers yet, you can download them from here and I also recommend you to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps. Lastly turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development and also enable unknown resources from Setting>Security.

Instructions
Step #1: Download required rooting package (P930_v20e_ROOT.zip) and unzip it into C:\ on PC.
Step #2: Navigate to the P930_v20e_ROOT where you’ve unzipped above package and from there copy the LG_SystemBackupTest.apk to the phone.
Step #3: Make sure a file manager app is installed on your phone, you may file expert app, using the file manager app locate the LG_SystemBackupTest.apk and tap on it to start installation. It will install an app named SystemBackupTest.
Step #4: Run the SystemBackupTest app, don’t do anything with app, press power button, from the appeared menu select Power off and restart or hold down power button until device reboot, you may notice that the device’s performance is bit slow, it’s normal.
Step #5: Plug your phone to the PC and wait for drivers installation.
Step #6: Navigate to the P930_v20e_ROOT again, there right click on root_P880, from the appeared list, select Run as administrator, it will start rooting. During the process, the device will reboot for a few times, once rooting is done, rooting window will close itself, if doesn’t close, you may close yourself.
Step #7: Download and install SuperSu Android app from the Google Play store.
Step #8: Once the app installed, launch it, press OK when prompted, it will update the SU binary.
Step #9: That’s it, go to Setting>Apps and uninstall the SystemBackupTest app.
That’s it, you’re done. Your phone is rooted now.

This is the only root that works on the net as of 11-07-2012. Lg nitro. I ending up bricking my phone after removing some unnecessary apps. duh! So, I flash the 4.0.3 ICS and rooted it with this process. Thank you, thank you. I now own my phone.
