How To Root Galaxy Note 10.1 With CF-Root Tool


Rooting lets you get full control over your Android device, it makes you able to install any non-Google pay app on the device even it enables to customize your system apps, there are a lot of rooting benefits. Those of you – Galaxy Note 10.1 owners – who’re itching to get full control over your tablet with root, here you can use the Chainfire’s CF-Auto-Root tool for your Galaxy Note 10.1.

CF-Auto-Root tool flash CWM recovery on your device, then reboot device into recovery mode, in recovery mode it roots the device and then restore the stock recovery back to device, read on how to root Galaxy Note 10.1 with CF-Auto-Root tool.

You need a Windows PC with USB drivers installed, you can use KIES to install drivers but before rooting disable KIES. Just for safety, you should back up everything of your device, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the CF-Auto-Root tool for Galaxy Note 10.1 from here.

Step #2: Unzip the downloaded CF-Auto-Root-p4notewifiww-p4notewifixx-gtn8010.zip file into a folder and run Odin3-v1.85.exe.

Step #3: Turn off your device and reboot it into download mode by holding down volume down and power buttons, when a warning screen appear, leave both buttons and press volume up button to enter in download mode.

Step #4: Plug the device to PC and Odin will detect it, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).

Step #5: Click on PDA Button and locate CF-Auto-Root-p4notewifiww-p4notewifixx-gtn8010.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).

Step #6: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again) your phone will reboot into recovery mode, there it will root the tablet automatically  and then reboot phone again.

Step #7: Unplug the device from PC.

That’s it, you’re done, your Galaxy Note 10.1 is rooted now. If you experience any error, do comment and be sure to use Triangle Away to reset the flash counter.
