How To Root Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 With CF-Root Tool
Rooting has already been achieved on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 but it wasn’t pretty easy, here’s CF-Auto-Root tool that is developed by a senior recognized XDA developer Chainfire for your Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, it will root your tablet with no trouble. Follow the below guide and have full on control on your Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3100 with rooting.
Make sure USB drivers are installed on your PC, you can use Samsung KIES to install drivers but during rooting it must be disabled. Rooting doesn’t wipe data, but just for safety back up everything, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, though the APN setting automatically restored from network, it make mobile date work, but if it doesn’t happen to you, restore it manually, you can use APN app to do so.

Step #1: Download the Rooting Package (CF-Auto-Root-espressorf-espressorfxx-gtp3100.zip) to your PC.
Step #2: Unzip the downloaded rooting package zip file into a folder.
Step #3: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped the above file and run Odin3-v1.85.exe file.
Step #4: Turn off your tablet and reboot the device into download mode, to do so press and hold down Volume Down button, when you see Download Mode, don’t turn off just plug the tab to PC using USB cable.
Step #5: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #6: Click on PDA Button and locate CF-Auto-Root-espressorf-espressorfxx-gtp3100.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above file in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #7: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, turn off device for a few seconds. Then reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again) your tablet will reboot into recovery mode, there it will root the tablet automatically and then reboot phone again.
Step #8: Unplug your tablet from the PC.
That’s it, your Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is rooted now, enjoy any root-required app on the phone, try Triangle Away app to reset the flash counter of your phone.
