How To Root LG Optimus G – Guide
LG Optimus G (Korean version) can now easily be rooted, a method has just been found by a XDA developer member galeri to root the LG Optimus G easily. The developer claims that it also works on AT&T Optimus G but it hasn’t been tested, so we can’t give guarantee that it will root AT&T Optimus G or not.
Rooting will give you full control over your Optimus G, you’ll be able to modify your phone in any way, however it’s important to note that since rooting voids the limitations of your phone, it will also void the warranty of your phone, so think before you proceed.
This guide shows you how to root LG Optimus G. USB phone drivers must be installed on your computer. On your phone, turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #1: Download Rooting Package for Optimus G from XDA (RootOptimusG.rar).
Step #2: Extract the downloaded RootOptimusG.rar on desktop.
Step #3: Plug your Optimus G to computer using a USB cable.
Step #4: Open RootOptimusG folder and run RootOptimusG.bat, it will open a command prompt window, there type “y” for yes and it will start rooting.
Step #5: Once the rooting is done, your phone’s display will be changed, select “restore my data” to restore your phone. Once it done, it should reboot into operating system.
Step #6: Once your phone is booted, go to app drawer and check SuperSU app is installed.
That’s it, your Optimus G is rooted now and you’re able to install any root-required app, enjoy!
