Rooting will make you able to customize the every aspect of your Nexus 4, it will prevent the restrictions of LG on the phone and you’ll be able to do anything with the phone, however rooting also voids the warranty of phone.

Step #1: Download Superboot Rooting Package to your computer running Linux.
Step #2: Unzip the downloaded rooting package into a directory.
Step #3: Turn off your Nexus 4 and reboot into fastboot mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down, volume up and power buttons.
Step #4: Plug your Nexus 10 to computer.
Step #5: Open a terminal window to the directory where you’ve unzipped above rooting package.
Step #6: Now simply type ‘chmod +x superboot-linux.sh’ followed by ‘./superboot-linux.sh’
That’s it, your Nexus 4 is rooted now, enjoy! You’re able to install any root-required app.
