How To Root Samsung Galaxy Note Without Increasing Flash Counter

Some people don’t root their device due to increasing flash counter, and now users of Samsung Galaxy Note would be happy to know that, an XDA mebemer Mashi has released an Odin-Flashable root method for At&T Samsung Galaxy Note, it doesn’t increase flash counter. Don’t you have better knowledge about flash counter? Well! It’s way of Samsung to track users who are flashing things on their device and who isn’t and flash counter save the record how many time you flashed kernel over Odin.

If you’re interested follow below guide to install it, but keep in mind that your device battery should be charged and please make a backup of your device data because the below procedure will wipe all data, and turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development. Then, make sure that USB debugging is checked.

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the pda.tar file.

Step #2: Now to flash this file in Odin, just run Odin.

Step #3: Turn the device off and reboot into download mode, to do so Press Volume down key + Center button + Power button simultaneously.

Step #4: Connect device to your PC using USB cable.

Step #5: ID:COM in Odin will turn yellow which indicate that all the drivers are properly installed.

Step #5: Select the pda.tar file you have downloaded in step 1. After selecting click on ‘Start’ and process will automatically start. Your device will be restarted there is no need to worry, its just because that the process is completed.
