How to Root Sony Xperia Acro S
The Sony Xperia Acro S has become an interesting smartohone due to its nice specs, the smartphone is fully waterproof. A XDA developer member heeroyun has released a root method for the smartphone, rooting will void the limitations of manufacture on your smartphone and lets you to completely customize it, rooting allows you to install all root-required apps such as MODs, ROMs, tweaks and more.
You no need to unlock the bootloader of phone before rooting, take a look at below guide to learn how to root Sony Xperia Acro S. First keep in mind that you need following files:
- Rooting kit
- Flashtool 0.9.0.0
- The Acro HD (SO-03D) 2.3.7 files
- The Acro S 4.0.4 file [Mirror]
- Link for whole pack
Make sure USB drivers for phone are installed on PC, your phone’s battery must be charged, go to Setting>Display, there on screen timeout set the time 30 minutes, it very important because if screen goes off just once then you won’t be able to return to the installation properly. Turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development, then enable Unknown resources from application settings, again go to application Setting, and there development should stay awake checked (Allowed). Use a regular picture for the background, don’t use the default live wallpaper.

Instructions
Step #1: Power off phone.
Step #2: Prepare to flash the 2.3.7 file, check all of the Wipe column, uncheck the rest.
Step #3: Connect phone while holding the volume down. Wait for the flashing to be completed and close Flashtool.
Step #4: Power on phone, plug to computer using USB cable.
Step #5: Run step1.bat.
Step #6: Install 4.0.4 files using Flashtool, don’t wipe anything, also check no final verification. Once it done, you may close flashtool.
Step #7: Power on phone, plug to PC using USB cable.
Step #8: Run Step2.bat, you’ll get many messages like “pushing SuperSU” and the phone will reboot during this process.
