How To Unlock Bootloader of AT&T HTC One

HTC did a great job with HTC One as the smartphones rocks with impressive specs and features, the most attention-getting point for me is beautiful metal design. It seems that HTC focused all of efforts on HTC One and of course they have got successes in various lines such as Sense 5.0, great photography features, BoomSound and more.

So we can expect heavy modification for smartphone through custom ROMs, kernels, MODs, and tweaks but before you touch anything, bootloader of your phone needs to be unlocked that is possible via HTC developer center. However the point here to be noted is that unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty of your phone, which means you should think twice first. Of course you’ll receive official updates but after unlocking bootloader stay away from them because it may cause issues.

This guide shows you how to unlock bootloader of AT&T HTC One. You should backup every important piece of data because unlocking bootloader wipes all data, you can you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use the carbon Android app to backup apps and data.

Use a Windows PC and ensure that USB phone drivers are installed on your computer, you can use HTC Sync to install drivers.
