How To Unlock Bootloader of Nexus 10
A locked bootloader keep your Android device secure, nobody can interfere in your device data but if you love to customize the device, unlocking the bootloader is must to do so. Unlocking the bootloader makes you able to explore the every aspect of device, you’ll be able to install custom recoveries and root the device that enables you to install root-required apps. Of course, there are a lot of benefits for it but it’s very important to note that unlocking bootloader also voids the warranty of device, you’ll not be able to visit the manufacturer shop for any claim regarding warranty.
Unlocking of bootloader is now possible on Nexus 10 even it’s pretty easy and take just a few minutes. This guide shows you how to unlock the Nexus 10 bootloader but before you start first make sure you’re ok with it, I mean you’re able to afford the warranty lose, however you re-lock the bootloader again with this guide too.
All you need is a Windows PC with Android ADB installed and a USB cable. You can follow our this guide to install Android ADB. You also need to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because unlocking bootloader will wipe your phone data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, and on your tablet, turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #1: Download Fastboot package to your computer.
Step #2: Unzip the downloaded fastboot-win32.zip into android-sdk-windows\platform-tools folder in C driver, you may make folder if not already there.
Step #3: Switch off the tablet.
Step #4: Reboot your Nexus 4 into bootloader mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down, volume up and power buttons until text appear on the screen. Then connect it to PC with your USB cable.
Step #5: Open command prompt and navigate to android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory. If you’re on windows 7, you can open command prompt directly from the folder, to do so open the folder, there hold down shift button on keyboard and right click on any empty area, then select “open command prompt here”.
Step #6: Enter following command to generate the serial number of the tablet, if it generates, your tablet is properly connected with the PC in bootloader mode.
Step #7: Enter following command now, it will start the unlocking procedure
fastboot oem unlock
After entering the above command, follow onscreen instructions.
Step #8: Your Nexus 10 tablet will reboot automatically once you’re done, if it doesn’t happen, enter following command to reboot phone manually:
