How To Unlock Bootloader Of Sony Ericsson Xperia’s Phones
Do you want to unlock bootloader of your Sony Ericsson Xperia? Well! Here’s a guide for your Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc/Neo/Pro/Play. But keep in mind that if you unlock the bootloader of your Xperia phone, it will void its warranty, however if you can afford this lose, just see below guide to unlock. ( Note: as per some users who tried above method, the process works well in 32 bit Operating System like Windows Vista / Windows 7 but stucks in Windows 7 64 bit)
Instructions
Step #1: Download fastboot package from here and x86/x64 drivers from here to your PC.
Step #2: Open and Ericsson website and scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Continue’ button.
Step #3: you’ll see a pop-up, click “YES, I’m sure.
Step #4: After that, click “accept”.
Step #5: Enter information about yourself, such as name, email address and first 14 digits of your phone’s IMEI number. (IMEI number can be checked by dialing *#06# on your phone).
Step #6: You’ll see boot loader unlock key.
Step #7: Write down the key on a notepad.
Step #8: Extract the fastboot package
Step #9: Open fastboot folder.
Step #10: Hold SHIFT and right-click on the background of the folder.
Step #11: Select ‘Open command window see below image:
Step #12: Hold the unlock button (for Xperia Neo/Arc/Pro, hold Menu button and for Xperia Play, hold Search button) on your phone and connect it to your computer via USB cable.
Step #13: In the command window, enter fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version (If you get a value in return, it means your have correctly connected your phone.)
Step #14: Enter fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY (Make sure to replace KEY with the unique key that you noted in the notepad in Step 7).
Step #15: You will have Bootloader Unlocked your device now. That’s it enjoy!

please make sure that you’ve device connected properly, you should see blue light above the charging point…hold the “Menu” button of phone, while holding the “Menu” button connect your phone to your PC. hopefully it’ll work

dear this step works on window 7, if you’re not on Windows 7 open the command prompt and manully navigate to fastboot folder

I’ve connected my Arc in as told (and I got the blue light), but it just says waiting for device. Surely there’s something im doing wrong and a way to solve it.
