Install AminAlmo ROM for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 – features multi-window option
Not a while ago Samsung rolled out an OTA update to original Galaxy Note 2 that brings a multi-view feature that lets you to use two apps at a time but it’s still not available for the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 variant. However almost a week ago Sprint also rolled out an OTA update containing multi-view feature for Sprint Galaxy Note 2. An XDA developer member aminalmo has ported the Sprint Galaxy Note 2 “L900VPALJC OTA” firmware for the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2, he made a new custom ROM named AminAlmo for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 that based on Sprint L900VPALJC firmware. The AminAlmo ROM offers a lot of other useful tweaks too that improve productivity.
The AminAlmo ROM is still being updated and under development, it contains currently Wi-Fi calling issues, so it may contains a few bugs, however it’s stable and almost everything is working fine.
Read on how to install AminAlmo ROM on T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 but first make sure your phone is rooted with a custom recovery installed, be sure to use this guide to root and this guide to install TWRP recovery. Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #1: Download AminAlmo ROM for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 from XDA and copy the .zip file to the internal storage of your phone.
Step #2: Turn the device off and reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons,
Step #3: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup”, then slide to blue button to confirm the action.
Step #4: Perform wipe, select wipe, then select factory reset. Then select Cache and confirm it, once it done, select Dalvik Cache and confirm on the next screen.
Step #5: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.
Step #6: Select “Install” and locate the downloaded .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #7: Once the installation is completed, select “Reboot System Now” to reboot the phone.
That’s it, you’re done, the AminAlmo ROM is now installed on your T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2, enjoy!
