Install Android 4.0 ICS Cyanogenmod 9 ROM on Galaxy Note

Cyanogenmod 9 team has released Cyanogenmod 9 ROM for so many Android device and now the ROM is also available for Galaxy Note, it based on Android 4.0 ICS. The ROM is much fast and has so many features for Galaxy Note. As official Ice Cream Sandwich update hasn’t release for Galaxy Note, so should try this ROM.

The ROM still in beta stage and has some bugs FM Radio is not included in the ROM, video recording doesn’t work, Movie Studio is not working, DSP Manager not working properly and Microphone during phone calls doesn’t work, you have option to hear other people but they can’t hear your voice but mic in apps like Skype or Vocal recognition works fine though. E-pen isn’t aligned properly in landscape and Boot animation not scaled properly. Developer promised to fix these bugs soon in next build but FM radio will never be added on this ROM.

Follow below guide to install it, but keep in mind that ClockworkMod recovery should be installed on device and its battery should be charged. Make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup to back apps don’t use Titanium Backup, and please note that this ROM is just for international Galaxy Note model number N7000, so don’t try it on any other device or model, you can check device detail from Setting>About Phone.
